Documentary of Singair Mosque :-
The Singair Mosque is a historic mosque located in Bagerhat, Bangladesh. Built during the 16th century during Mughal rule of the Benglal, however many aspects of the main building feature many pre-Islamic architectural elements and is believed to have been converted into a mosque during the initial Mughal invasions of India, and built upon the original foundations of a Temple.

Singair mosque is part of the mosque town of Bagerhat, built in the 15th and the 16th century by Khan Jahan Ali and his followers. The mosque is located 3 miles west of the Bagerhat town, opposite to the Shaitgumbad mosque. The mosque is square, and has a single dome. Each side measures 39 feet 6 inches. The mosque is of red brick construction with terracotta designs. The east wall has three entrances, while the north and south walls have one entrance each. The four corners of the mosque have round columns. The columns have terracotta designs around them.

The edges of the roof have terracotta ornamentations all around the mosque. Inside, the mosque has just one arched mihrab on the western wall. The mihrab is constructed entirely of terracotta. Though much of the ornamentations have ruined, but it is clear that the mihrab was very elegantly decorated.

The dome is also constructed of red bricks, and is vaulted from inside. The dome is supported on the four walls of the mosque. There are several niches in the walls inside the mosque. These niches were used to places oil lamps for light sources. The decoration of the niches is similar to those of the mihrab. The massive walls of the mosque are 7 feet thick. The construction of the mihrab is extended outside of the western wall of the mosque. There are decorations on two sides of the extension.
